Method, coverage and cautions
USD-denominated, active US listings with dividends and financial statements. Yields above 30%, prices over 7 days old and known ETFs are excluded. REITs are included; funds and preferred shares may remain.
The five-year history uses ex-dividend calendar years and includes special dividends. A missing year is unknown, not zero; payment counts can shift around year-end. Payout is common dividends paid divided by net income before minority interests and preferred dividends.
For REITs, banks, insurers, asset managers and BDCs, payout ratios should not be judged by the same thresholds as general companies. Time shown is list generation; ordering is not a recommendation and past figures do not guarantee future dividends.
