Medicus Pharma ( NASDAQ:MDCX ) View Price & Profile Medicus Pharma CEO on SkinJect and Pfizer partnership – ICYMI Published: 10:32 12 Sep 2026 EDT Medicus Pharma (NASDAQ:MDCX) earlier this week outlined progress across its SkinJect program and a co-development and licensing opportunity with Pfizer, with CEO Raza Bokhari highlighting clinical, partnership and funding developments as the company sharpens its focus on precision oncology and capital-efficient drug development. Bokhari said final SkinJect results published on ClinicalTrials.gov had confirmed the 200-microgram patch as the dose to be taken forward into further registrational studies. He said Medicus Pharma (NASDAQ:MDCX) would continue focusing on Gorlin syndrome, including steps to recruit patients for the SkinJect 005 study and work towards the pivotal study that he said had already received FDA approval. Meanwhile, the nodular basal cell carcinoma opportunity has been positioned for an out-licence. “We are very excited that we have clarity on our way forward,” Bokhari said, adding that the prospect of SkinJect becoming a therapy for Gorlin syndrome patients with multiple basal cell lesions was getting “closer and closer”. A potential partnership represents another catalyst. Bokhari described the program as “clearly partner-ready” and said Medicus Pharma hoped a partner could take the baton while the company continued development work. He also pointed to the potential commercial characteristics of the rare disease opportunity. An independent report commissioned by Medicus Pharma indicated potential reimbursement of around $25,000 or more, according to Bokhari. Alongside SkinJect, the company is advancing a co-development and licensing opportunity with Pfizer involving a CD228-targeted antibody-drug conjugate to explore its efficacy in refractory melanoma and other solid tumours. Bokhari said the Pfizer relationship came with $2 million in development funding as well as inventory and infrastructure support. He said Medicus Pharma was therefore adequately funded, and potentially fully funded, to pick up where Pfizer left off with a Phase 1 dose-escalation study. He described the addition of the program as a “paradigm shift” in the company’s portfolio, providing an opportunity for Medicus Pharma to refine its position as a precision oncology-led biotech life sciences company. For investors, potential catalysts highlighted in the interview include progress towards recruitment for SkinJect 005, advancement of the pivotal Gorlin syndrome program, a potential SkinJect partnership and further development of the CD228-targeted antibody-drug conjugate program.
