Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - September 2, 2026) - Prospect Prediction Markets Inc. (TSXV: MKT) (OTCQB: MKTSF) (FSE: DEP) ("Prospect Markets" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Prospect Brokerage USA LLC ("Prospect Brokerage"), has executed a definitive agreement (the "Agreement") with OG Prediction Markets and Crypto.com | Derivatives North America ("CDNA") to launch an event-based prediction markets offering, initially in the United States.
The Agreement enables Prospect Brokerage to offer OG.com and CDNA's event contracts in the U.S., marking the Company's entry into the rapidly emerging prediction markets sector and creating a new strategic growth opportunity in sports-native prediction markets.
The Agreement follows the previously announced letter of intent with Foris DAX FCM LLC (operating as OG Broker) and represents the transition from that non-binding framework to a definitive, binding agreement.
A Rapidly Growing Market
The prediction markets sector is expanding at an extraordinary pace. Combined monthly trading volume across the largest platforms rose from under US$5 billion in September 2025 to approximately US$25.7 billion in May 2026. In June 2026, the sector reached a new record, surpassing US$50 billion in monthly notional volume as the 2026 FIFA World Cup and NBA Finals drove a wave of event-contract activity.
Sports has been the leading category and the primary entry point for mainstream adoption. During June 2026, sports contracts accounted for approximately 85% of trading volume on the sector's largest platform, and prediction markets captured an estimated 27% of all legal U.S. sports-betting volume during the World Cup, up from approximately 9% at the start of the year.
Wall Street research firm Bernstein estimates that total prediction market volumes will reach approximately US$240 billion in 2026, representing a 370% increase over 2025, and could scale to approximately US$1 trillion annually by 2030, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of roughly 80%. Bernstein attributes this projected growth to increasing federal regulatory clarity, mainstream distribution partnerships, and institutional adoption driving increased liquidity.
These industry-wide trends represent the market opportunity that Prospect Markets is positioning to address through its sports-native platform and U.S. market access.
"Formalizing this definitive agreement with Prospect is a major step in expanding access to fully regulated, event-based prediction markets across the U.S.," said Steve Humenik, Chief Legal Officer, OG and EVP and Global Head of Legal for Prediction and Capital Markets of Crypto.com. "As mainstream demand for sports-native prediction contracts continues to surge, leveraging our CFTC-registered clearing and exchange infrastructure allows us to deliver a secure, compliant, and highly liquid venue for fans and traders alike ahead of the upcoming sports season."
"Executing a definitive agreement with Crypto.com is a company-defining milestone for Prospect, and one we set our sights on this year," said Johnny Chen, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Prospect Markets. "I want to credit our team and our partners at Crypto.com, who worked tirelessly to get it over the line. The Agreement clears the way for Prospect to launch, onboard users, and generate revenue. We intend to be live for sports fans ahead of the upcoming NFL and NBA seasons."
