BrenX Ltd. (NASDAQ: BRNX) , formerly Brenmiller Energy Ltd., a leading provider of thermal energy storage ("TES") and integrated industrial energy solutions, today announced that its Hungarian subsidiary, A.R.D. Energy Kft., has entered into a definitive real estate sale and purchase agreement for the purchase of approximately 10,872 square meters of industrial land and photovoltaic infrastructure adjacent to the Company's operating solar facility in Kaposszekcső, Hungary.
First execution of BrenX's develop-own-operate strategy: the model behind the Company's recent transition to its BrenX strategy
Builds around an operating asset: the Company's adjacent existing 1.2 MWp solar facility provides the energy foundation for expansion
Four technologies, one platform: creates the space to evaluate additional solar, battery storage, bGen™ TES and, where appropriate, modular data center infrastructure
Capital-efficient: aggregate purchase price of HUF 58.3 million (approximately US$190,000), plus VAT if applicable
A blueprint for growth: a model designed to be replicated in additional markets
The purchase marks the next stage in BrenX's development of the Kaposszekcső site from a standalone renewable energy asset into what the Company believes has the potential to become its first integrated industrial energy resource center. With an operating 1.2 MWp solar facility already serving as the site's energy foundation, the additional property expands the physical footprint available to BrenX to evaluate additional renewable generation, battery energy storage systems ("BESS"), the Company's proprietary bGen™ TES technology, industrial energy services and, where appropriate, potential modular data center infrastructure.
The transaction advances BrenX's broader strategy to develop, own, operate and optimize energy infrastructure, with the objective of combining multiple technologies and energy assets around customer requirements and creating opportunities for longer-term customer relationships and recurring revenue.
"We believe that this purchase is about much more than adding land," said Nir Brenmiller, Chief Executive Officer of BrenX. "We are assembling the building blocks that can allow us to expand what began as an operating solar asset into a much broader energy platform. With additional space and infrastructure at the site, we can evaluate how solar generation, battery storage, our bGen thermal energy storage technology and potentially digital infrastructure could work together to address the evolving energy requirements of industrial customers. This is the model we are building BrenX around: establishing an energy asset as a foundation and then looking for disciplined opportunities to expand around it with complementary technologies, customers and services that can potentially create additional revenue streams over time. Kaposszekcső is where we intend to prove that model — and, if we succeed, it can become a blueprint we can replicate."
Under the definitive real estate sale and purchase agreement with Green Solartech Kft., A.R.D. Energy Kft. has agreed to purchase the adjacent industrial property together with 192 rammed pile foundations for solar module mounting structures, approximately 417 linear meters of industrial fencing and engineering documentation relating to the photovoltaic layout, grid connection and associated electrical infrastructure for an aggregate purchase price of HUF 58.3 million (approximately US$190,000), plus VAT if applicable. The agreement follows the commercial term sheet announced by the Company in July 2026 and completes the contractual acquisition contemplated by that earlier agreement, subject to completion of the applicable land-registry registration process.
With possession of a larger site surrounding its operating solar asset, BrenX will have greater flexibility to assess...
