The move followed news of a new order in Canada, marking Thruvision's first government customer in the country and its first deployment in Canada's entrance security market. The order expands Thruvision's presence in Canada, where previous orders have predominantly served retail distribution customers. The company's 8108 WalkTHRU system, which incorporates its SmartSCREEN and DynamicDETECT features, will be installed at a municipal building to screen visitors entering council chambers. A battery-powered configuration gives the customer greater flexibility over deployment. Thruvision also disclosed a number of recent orders from new and existing retail distribution customers across the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States, alongside a new government customer in Europe. These cover its WalkTHRU and SpotCHECK product lines, including software options. Victoria Balchin, Thruvision's chief executive, described the Canadian order as an important milestone and pointed to further opportunities with municipalities across the country. Continue reading
