The trading and investment company priced the initial public offering of Robinhood Ventures Fund II at $25 per share on the New York Stock Exchange. Unlike Robinhood's first venture fund, which targeted later-stage private companies, the new fund will focus on early and growth-stage startups, with particular emphasis on companies linked to Y Combinator, the Silicon Valley startup accelerator. Y Combinator has backed more than 5,000 startups since 2005, with alumni including Coinbase, Airbnb, Stripe and OpenAI . Rather than betting on a single winner, the fund plans to build a diversified portfolio across multiple industries. The expansion sits alongside Robinhood's wider move beyond stock trading into wealth management, retirement accounts and tokenised assets. Continue reading
