Data Center segment drove results, now 58% of revenue, with robust growth and strategic AI partnerships poised to accelerate H2 2026 performance.
Gross margin expanded to 56% and operating margin to 27%, supporting strong cash flow generation and bolstering the net cash position to ~$10B.
That said, I am downgrading AMD from 'Strong Buy' to 'Buy' due to less compelling risk/reward, with a fair value of $581 and a 5-year price target of ~$1040.
In the immediate aftermath of its Q2 2026 earnings release, Advanced Micro Devices' ( AMD ) stock is trading lower by ~9% at ~$470 per share, despite above-consensus top and bottom line performance from the semiconductor giant.
Clearly, Mr. Market is reacting negatively here
