Sentiment Analysis
D.R. Horton, Inc. reported the company’s fiscal Q3 results on the 21st of July. The leading U.S. homebuilder showed a subdued but surprisingly resilient financial performance for the quarter. Still, housing market uncertainty continues to be a core issue. The lowered FY2026 guidance implies that there's more volatility ahead in at least Q4. Weak housing affordability remains a core issue. I believe that DHI is overvalued given such uncertain housing market dynamics. I estimate a -20% base scenario downside to $115.9.
