McDonald’s is set to launch a new Happy Meal collaboration featuring BT21 characters, following last year's successful BTS TinyTan figurines. The BT21 x McDonald’s Happy Meals will be available starting July 14, exclusively with Happy Meals.
BT21, developed by LINE FRIENDS, consists of popular characters created by each BTS member to represent themselves, such as Koya for RM and RJ for Jin. These beloved figures, including Shooky, Mang, Chimmy, Tata, Cooky, and Van, have a rich lore and have seen immense success since their 2017 launch, often selling out quickly.
This marks another major partnership for the brand, which previously collaborated with McDonald’s in Asia in 2023, offering characters atop chicken nugget containers that also sold out rapidly.
BT21 is coming to McDonald’s Happy Meals! Fresh off last year’s BTS collaboration with their TinyTan figurines in Happy Meals, McDonald’s is partnering with their other character affiliate, BT21.
McDonald’s Official Instagram posted a teaser featuring the characters’ shadows zooming through the universe, past stars that form a Happy Meal. In the sneak peek, it is revealed that BT21 x McDonald’s Happy Meals will launch on July 14. Like the TinyTan toys, they will be sold exclusively with Happy Meals.
