Tekcapital PLC ( LSE:TEK ) View Price & Profile Tekcapital shares fall over 15% after £550,000 placing at 22% discount Published: 05:30 29 Sep 2026 EDT Shares in Tekcapital PLC (LSE:TEK) , the intellectual property investment group, fell over 15% to 2.45p on Tuesday after it sold new shares at 2.25p, well below Monday's close, to raise funds. Tekcapital issued 24 milion new shares, equal to about 9% of its enlarged share capital, raising £550,000, equivalent to US$730,000, before expenses. The company said the money will strengthen its balance sheet and fund its investment strategy across existing and new portfolio companies. The new shares are expected to be admitted to trading on AIM on or around Friday, taking the total number of shares in issue to 281,622,969. Tekcapital also gave an update on its portfolio, led by Vesari, a company developing data centre campuses powered by underground heat. Vesari has engaged ARC Group International as its capital markets adviser in connection with a proposed business combination with a special purpose acquisition company, and its patent portfolio was valued at $293 million at 30 June. Guident, a Tekcapital portfolio company which develops robotic monitoring technology, raised $2 million in May and is working towards a public listing. MicroSalt, a low sodium salt maker, has reaffirmed its revenue estimate of $15 million for the next financial year and expects a third product line from a large snack and beverage customer in the final quarter of 2026.
