Forward Industries shares fall after $25 million share offering Published: 11:32 23 Sep 2026 EDT Shares of Forward Industries (NASDAQ: FWDI), the Solana-focused digital asset treasury company, are trading more than 4% lower at $8.21 in mid-morning trading on Wednesday after the company announced a $25 million registered direct offering. The offering involves the sale of 3.125 million common shares to an institutional investor at $8 a share, with gross proceeds expected to reach about $25 million before fees and expenses. The offering price represents a discount of about 7% to Tuesday’s closing price of $8.60, while Wednesday’s latest price remained above the offering price. Forward Industries plans to use the net proceeds to acquire additional SOL, the native cryptocurrency of the Solana blockchain, and expand its digital asset treasury. The company said the strategy is intended to increase SOL per fully diluted share as it expands its holdings, rather than focusing only on the absolute size of its cryptocurrency treasury. The share sale follows a strong run for Forward Industries, with the stock rising over more than 67% over the previous month. Forward Industries launched its digital asset treasury strategy in 2025 and focuses on buying, holding, staking, trading and investing in SOL and related digital assets, protocols and businesses.
