Renishaw PLC ( LSE:RSW ) View Price & Profile Renishaw posts record profit as semiconductor demand drives growth Published: 02:34 23 Sep 2026 EDT Renishaw PLC (LSE:RSW) reported record annual profit after strong demand from semiconductor, aerospace and defence customers lifted revenue and margins. Revenue for the year to June rose 14% to £815.8 million, or 17% at constant currencies, while adjusted operating profit increased 36% to £152.9 million. Adjusted operating margin improved to 18.7% from 15.7%. Adjusted profit before tax climbed 32% to a record £168 million, while statutory profit before tax increased 27% to £150 million. Adjusted earnings per share rose 30% to 179.5p. Growth accelerated through the year, culminating in record fourth-quarter revenue of £244.2 million, 28% ahead of the previous year. Position Measurement revenue increased 26% to £260.9 million, supported by AI-driven semiconductor manufacturing demand, while Specialised Technologies sales jumped 43% to £107.5 million as demand for additive manufacturing systems strengthened, particularly from aerospace and defence customers. Renishaw's cost reduction programme and restructuring of its neurological product business delivered around £20 million of savings during the year. Cash and deposit balances increased to £291 million from £273.6 million, while return on invested capital improved to 17.5%. The board proposed a final dividend of 65.2p per share, taking the full-year payout to 82p, up 5%, alongside a special interim dividend of 70p. Chief executive Will Lee said the new financial year had started strongly, with continued benefit from the semiconductor equipment upturn and further progress expected in revenue, profit and operating margin.
