CEO Chris Frostad told Proactive that the first hole at Q24 returned approximately 7.4 metres of radioactivity at 8,760 counts per second, including peaks of up to 50,000 counts per second. Frostad said the result was particularly significant because it came from the first hole drilled in that specific target area, adding that it gave Purepoint valuable information to build on during its next program. “For a first hole in a particular section, I think that's hugely relevant and gives us a lot to go on on our next program,” Frostad said. He also highlighted the geological context of the result. The radioactivity was encountered at the unconformity, which Frostad described as a traditional setting for uranium in the Athabasca Basin, while chalcopyrite identified beneath it was cited as an indicator of hydrothermal activity. Q24 also provides Purepoint with another target distinct from Nova and Q23 within the wider Dorado project. Frostad said Dorado, assembled with project partner ISO Energy, comprises around 100,000 hectares when the relevant properties are combined. He noted that Purepoint had also encountered mineralization at Q23 during the summer work, but described the first Q24 hole as “something really striking”, adding: “This entire project is turning into quite a toy box for us.” Several potential catalysts remain ahead as Purepoint evaluates the summer program. Assays are still pending, while the company also completed three-dimensional MobileMT geophysical surveys across the wider project. Frostad said Purepoint plans to integrate those geophysical results with information obtained from drilling over the coming one or two months to refine its interpretation and decide where to focus next. Purepoint is also working with ISO Energy to determine the budget for next year's program. Frostad said the company does not expect to return to drilling until January, but investors can expect further information before then covering the interpretation of results, their implications and plans for the next phase of exploration.
