CFO Darcy Daubaras told Proactive that Marleau’s appointment represented an important step in the development of BuzzHPC, with the subsidiary seeking to ensure its governance capabilities keep pace with the scaling of the business. Daubaras said Marleau brings more than five decades of experience in Canadian and US capital markets and has served as a director of more than 50 public companies. “This is a really important appointment for the next stage of our subsidiary, BuzzHPC,” Daubaras said. He added that Marleau would bring an independent perspective at a time when capital allocation, governance and accountability are becoming increasingly strategic considerations for BuzzHPC. The appointment comes as BuzzHPC continues to build out infrastructure in Canada. Daubaras highlighted the company’s relationship with Bell Canada and said BuzzHPC plans to put two clusters into a facility in Merritt, British Columbia. The planned deployment represents a potential operational catalyst as BuzzHPC expands its Canadian infrastructure.
