MSTR, CRCL, and COIN Forecasts – Crypto Stocks Drift Softly Ahead of Thursday Earnings

MSTR trades at 98.65, stuck below its declining EMAs. The early pre-market trading for Strategy looks a little soft at this point, and ultimately is looking at earnings coming on Thursday, which will have a major influence on what the market thinks next, all things being equal. So, it does make a certain amount of sense that we are just bumping around between the $100 level and the $95 level recently. This is a market that desperately needs some type of catalyst. That could be it, but the game of borrowing money to buy more Bitcoin may start to sour in the eyes of investors, and that has been an overarching theme here.

Circle looks like it’s going to be a little bit negative as well at the open. Its earnings are on the 5th of August, so a little later. It has recently filled a gap from the earnings call back in late February and just sat there. It is a range-bound market, so those interested in trading range-bound conditions might be attracted to this. It looks like somewhere around the $60 level we do have a certain amount of support. We’ll just have to wait and see if that holds. Resistance seems to be right around the $73 level in this environment. Again, we’ll see if that holds, but it looks like a market that remains sideways.

Coinbase looks like it is going to be soft at the open as well, and much like Strategy Incorporated, it has an earnings call on Thursday. So, a little bit of sideways action could make some sense here as traders try to position themselves ahead of that conference call and release of earnings. The 50-day EMA sits just above. That could offer a little bit of psychological resistance. Short-term pullbacks continue to be bought into, at least up until now. So, this is a market that looks like it’s trying to consolidate itself to determine the next move. With all of that and the earnings call, it does make a certain amount of sense that we remain noisy.
