Cerebras Systems Introduces Superfast AI Accelerator

Cerebras Systems (CBRS) late Tuesday introduced what it described as "the fastest AI accelerator in the industry." The chipmaker said its Cerebras CS-4 is up to 30 times faster than solutions that use graphics processing units (GPUs) from the likes of AMD (AMD) and Nvidia (NVDA). Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Cerebras Systems unveiled the CS-4 at its Supernova event in San Francisco.
