BioVie Inc ( NASDAQ:BIVI NASDAQ:BIVIW ) View Price & Profile BioVie to present Long COVID and Parkinson’s trial results at American Neurological Association meeting Published: 09:50 14 Oct 2026 EDT BioVie Inc (NASDAQ:BIVI, NASDAQ:BIVIW) will present results from two Phase 2 trials of its experimental drug bezisterim, in Long COVID and Parkinson’s disease, at the American Neurological Association’s annual meeting in San Diego. The company said both abstracts were accepted as poster presentations at ANA2026, which runs from October 17 to 20. Bezisterim is an investigational oral drug that crosses the blood-brain barrier. BioVie said it works to reduce inflammation and improve insulin sensitivity without suppressing the immune system, and carries a low risk of drug-drug interactions. SUNRISE-PD enrolled 57 patients with early-stage disease who had not previously received carbidopa/levodopa. Topline results showed improvements in blood-based markers of inflammation and in biomarkers tied to cellular health and neuronal integrity. Patients on bezisterim also showed greater improvements than those on placebo across measures of daily functioning, motor symptoms and non-motor symptoms. ADDRESS-LC enrolled about 200 patients to assess whether bezisterim can help reduce brain fog, fatigue and other chronic neurological symptoms associated with Long COVID. BioVie has also run Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials in Alzheimer’s disease, with preliminary data suggesting improvements in cognition and biomarkers. Continue reading
