HeLIX Exploration PLC (AIM:HEX, OTCQB:HHEXF) announced it has secured a buyer for 100% of available helium production from its Rudyard project through March 2027, extending an initial sales arrangement as it works towards restarting production following a regulatory pause. The six-month extension follows three helium tube-trailer sales to the unnamed industrial gases group during Rudyard’s start-up phase, which marked Helix’s commercial debut in the helium market. Commercial terms and the customer’s identity remain confidential, though Helix said the agreed pricing is significantly above assumptions used in its pre-IPO model. Continuous trailer rotations will support deliveries, using both Helix-leased and customer-supplied equipment. Chief executive Bo Sears said the company had converted its short-term arrangement into a longer-term spot sales agreement after demonstrating its ability to supply high-grade helium. Rudyard began production in February and recorded its first commercial sales in July. Production is currently paused at the request of the Montana Board of Oil and Gas Conservation, while Helix is progressing a drilling and processing expansion programme intended to bring additional wells into production.
