Coca-Cola to pay dividends next week; Here's how much 100 KO shares will earn

So far, Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) stock investors have had cause to be pleased, and the company is scheduled to grant another reason to celebrate next week on Thursday, October 1. Specifically, the beverage giant will pay out its quarterly dividend on that day. In 2026, the annual yield stands at 2.41%, meaning that the October payment will amount to $0.53 per KO share. Considering that the relevant ex-dividend date came and went on September 15 – and that Coca-Cola stock closed at $88.71 one day earlier – a hopeful recipient would have had to invest $8,871 to acquire 100 shares and receive $53 next Thursday. Meanwhile, Warren Buffett – or, rather, Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A, BRK.B) – the largest KO stockholder, can expect $212 million on the 400 million shares owned.

Looking ahead, while the next Coca-Cola dividend payment is yet to be officially announced, it is all but guaranteed that the yearly yield and the quarterly amount will remain the same. So far, the beverage giant has been increasing the amount once per annum. For example, throughout 2023, each share paid $0.46, through 2024 $0.485, and during 2025 it was $0.51.

Under the circumstances, investors who held a single Coca-Cola share before March 13, 2026 – the year’s first ex-dividend date – can expect $2.12 for the entire year, while 100 will have paid $212.

Elsewhere, KO stock has logged relatively impressive performance year-to-date (YTD), especially for a mature blue-chip company. So far, Coca-Cola equity is up 27.45% since January 2 – the first regular session – and rose from $69.12 to $88.09.

Notably, this means the beverage giant outperformed major indices such as the benchmark S&P 500, which is up 12.36% within the same timeframe, and even some of the traditional top performers. For example, though Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) has rallied 1,440% since 2022, it is up a far more limited 19.41% YTD.
