Trump Hails Boeing's 111-Plane Deals With Türkiye, Bangladesh, Says They'll Support ‘Tens of Thousands' of American Jobs: ‘Big Day' for US Manufacturing

President Donald Trump has hailed Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick ‘s role in Boeing Co. ‘s (NYSE: BA ) major aircraft deals with Turkish Airlines and Bangladesh’s Biman Bangladesh Airlines .

In a post on the social media platform Truth Social on Wednesday, Trump said that it was a “big day” for domestic manufacturing.

“Türkiye and Bangladesh announced purchases totaling 111 Boeing Airplanes—with options for 50 more—following support from Howard Lutnick and the Department of Commerce,” Trump said.

He added that “tens of billions of dollars,” as well as “huge” U.S. exports, were supporting “tens of thousands of American Jobs.”
