Jet2 PLC ( AIM:JET2 ) View Price & Profile Jet2 plans Main Market move as summer bookings strengthen Published: 07:14 03 Sep 2026 BST Jet2 PLC (AIM:JET2) has announced plans to move from AIM to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange as the leisure travel group reported stronger summer bookings and sustained demand across its package holiday and flight-only businesses. Summer 2026 seat capacity is 7.6% higher than last year at 19.9 million seats, while booked passengers are up 8.8%. The combined booked average load factor to the end of August was 1.5 percentage points ahead of the previous year, despite customers continuing to book closer to departure. Jet2 said its London Gatwick operation was performing ahead of initial expectations, helped by a stronger-than-expected package holiday mix. The company has consequently increased the number of aircraft on sale from Gatwick to seven for summer 2027. Winter 2026/27 seat capacity is currently 8% higher at 5.9 million seats, with most of the increase coming from Gatwick. Jet2 also reported that 93% of its full-year jet fuel requirement is hedged at an average price of US$753, while more than 90% of its foreign exchange exposure is covered. The company intends to complete its move to the Main Market before the end of the current financial year, describing it as a natural next step following a decade of expansion. Chief executive Steve Heapy said sustained summer demand gave Jet2 confidence for the remainder of the financial year. He said the Main Market move reflected “the scale of the business we have built, our proven track record of delivery and the opportunities that lie ahead”.
