Sentiment Analysis
The fee-based revenues underscore Upstart's likely to be a resilient AI-powered lending marketplace, aided by the growing third-party funding capacity. Further margin expansion from FY2027 may be driven by the robust unsecured loan growth and the projected breakeven secured segment by Q4 '26. UPST's consolidation has contributed to the cheap EV/Sales of 3.12x and 3Y PEG ratio of 0.36x, along with the excellent doubling upside potential to my LTPT of $59.10. Elevated macro risks, potential Fed rate hikes, high insider selling, and a 25.92% short interest ratio may cause volatility and softer sequential growth in H2'26. UPST remains a Buy, with the ongoing consolidation and strategic positioning offering an excellent entry for high-risk, long-term investors. I previously rated Upstart Holdings, Inc. (UPST) a Great Buy in July 2026, thanks to the promising loan originations in FQ1'26 and the bottoming macro risks. In this article, I shall discuss why UPST remains a Buy.
