David Paul Morris | Bloomberg | Getty Images OpenAI said Thursday that Chief Revenue Officer Denise Dresser is leaving her role less than a year after she joined the artificial intelligence lab, a startling exit for a company that's gearing up for what's expected to be a blockbuster IPO. The company said Dresser is leaving "to pursue other opportunities," according to a release. OpenAI has hired Dali Rajic, who previously served as the president and chief operating officer of the cybersecurity company Wiz, to replace her. OpenAI hired Dresser in December after she spent more than a decade as an executive at Salesforce. In 2023, Dresser was named CEO of Slack, the messaging company Salesforce acquired for more than $27 billion in 2020. Dresser's departure marks the second senior exit at OpenAI in days. Longtime OpenAI executive Brad Lightcap announced his decision to leave the company on Tuesday, writing in a post on X that he is going to "start something new." This is breaking news.
