Domino's expected to report weaker US sales in second quarter as investors look for recovery plans, UBS says
Domino's Pizza Inc. (NYSE: DPZ) is expected to report weaker US sales in its second quarter, according to a note from UBS, as investors look for recovery plans.
The pizza giant is scheduled to report its second-quarter earnings on July 21, with UBS analyst John Ivankoe expecting same-store sales to fall 1.5% year-on-year.
“We expect Domino’s to report a second consecutive quarter of negative US same-store sales,” Ivankoe wrote in a note.
“We are looking for Domino’s to present a credible plan to return to positive US same-store sales growth in the second half of 2026.”
The analyst said he expects Domino’s to report earnings per share of $2.15, down from $2.45 in the year-ago period.
Ivankoe said he expects the company to report revenue of $1.06 billion, down from $1.07 billion in the prior year.
Domino's shares have fallen 15% year to date, compared with a 10% rise in the S&P 500.
