Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation Withdraws Judicial Review and Confirms Support for the Wheeler River Project

Denison Mines Corp. (TSX: DML) (NYSE American: DNN) has announced that the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation (PBCN) has withdrawn its judicial review application concerning the Environmental Assessment approval for the Phoenix In-Situ Recovery (ISR) uranium mine. Furthermore, PBCN has formally provided its consent and support for the development and operation of Denison's Wheeler River Project in northern Saskatchewan.

The Wheeler River Project is described as the largest undeveloped uranium project in the Athabasca Basin region and hosts the high-grade Phoenix and Gryphon uranium deposits. Denison holds a 90% interest in the project, operating it as a joint venture with JCU (Canada) Exploration Company Limited (10%).

Recent studies indicate that both deposits have the potential to be among the lowest-cost uranium mining operations globally. Permitting efforts for the Phoenix ISR operation began in 2019, leading to the approval of the Project's Environmental Assessment by the Province of Saskatchewan in July 2025 and the approval of the Project's EA and grant of the construction license in February 2026.
