Seeing Machines Ltd ( AIM:SEE OTC:SEEMF ) View Price & Profile Seeing Machines gains industry backing as cabin technology shifts towards integrated safety Published: 06:30 02 Oct 2026 EDT Seeing Machines Ltd (AIM:SEE, OTC:SEEMF, FRA:M2Z) , the driver-monitoring software company, is well positioned as carmakers increasingly combine cabin sensing with advanced driver assistance systems, Stifel said after attending the InCabin conference. The bank said the dominant industry theme was the need for robust systems that can operate at scale while limiting false positives, an area it identified as a core strength for Seeing Machines. Stifel analyst Peter McNally retained a 'buy' rating and a 10.5p price target on the shares, which closed at 4.4p on 1 October. The conference highlighted growing interest in combining driver monitoring systems with external vehicle sensing so that safety systems can respond to hazards before emergency braking becomes necessary. Seeing Machines demonstrated technology using driver gaze and exterior sensing to identify where a driver was looking and provide earlier warnings when another road user entered a potential collision path. Stifel said the company also appeared well advanced in the move towards integrated driver monitoring and advanced driver assistance, a direction discussed by several major automotive suppliers at the event. The conference also reinforced the importance of preventing false alarms, with Volkswagen and Mitsubishi Electric Automotive Europe stressing that drivers must trust safety systems rather than become irritated by unnecessary interventions. Competition is increasing, however, with Aptiv emerging as a potential new entrant after launching a next-generation system combining infrared and radar, although Stifel noted it has yet to report new wins for the product. Stifel also identified opportunities for Seeing Machines in Japan, where it has partnerships with Mitsubishi Electric and recently won two original equipment manufacturer programmes with an initial lifetime value of $11 million. The broker said synthetic data, which uses computer-generated scenarios to train machine-learning systems, could also make automotive software development faster and cheaper while supporting model validation. Stifel said Seeing Machines had reached an interim agreement with Magna on future financing and expected the arrangement ultimately to extend beyond one year, with financial year 2026 results and fin Continue reading
